The power plant comprises three configuration groups (2x2x1) and two black start turbines, with a total of six 9FA gas turbines, six 1,500T HRSG recovery boilers, three D11 type condensing steam turbines and two 6B dual gas-diesel turbines.
The Qatargas 3 (QG3) project involved the construction of a new LNG mega-train (Train 6) with a capacity of 7.8 MTA. QG 3 will produce 1.4 billion standard cubic feet of gas per day, delivering LNG and substantial volumes of condensate and LPG.
Major Scope and Quantities Include:
250,000 ID of Piping
1,500 Tons of Static & Rotating Equipment erection
The Plant consists of a 1,300 KMTA ethylene plant (based on 8,000 hours yearly operation), requiring support facilities including, spent caustic oxidation unit, co-product handling facilities, nitrogen system, buildings, pipelines, and all other associated services.
The prime function of the Plant is to deliver polymer grade ethylene to derivative plants located in Mesaieed Industrial City (MIC), in the south of Qatar. The general construction of units In-Side Battery Limits (ISBL) and Out-Side Battery Limits (OSBL) is divided into three different work packages:
SP 1: ISBL area that includes the hot section of the plant (furnace and boiler areas included),
SP 2: ISBL area that includes the cold section of the plant,
SP 3: the overall OSBL area, including exporting lines up to the jetty.
Major Scope and Quantities Include:
1,500 T of Steel Structure
262,000 Inch Dia (equivalent to 3,150T) of Piping
550 T of Pipe Supports
9 Large Cracking Furnace assembly erection. Scope includes refractory works and stack / ducts installation (1,575T each)
2,250 T of Static & Rotating Equipment
Electrical & Instrumentation Works (1,000 KM of cables and cable trays, 25,000 instruments etc.)
The 1,025MW Ras Laffan B combined-cycle power plant in Qatar has a seawater desalination plant that produces around 27,500 cubic metres of drinking water per day. Project construction began in September 2005 and the plant was officially opened in March 2008.
The plant consists of three Siemens SGT5-4000F gas turbines, two 220MW steam turbines and four 15MIGD (million imperial gallons per day) multi-stage flash distillers.
Major Scope and Quantities Include:
Approx. 25,000T of mechanical equipment installation, with association services, including :
